Hello everyone! My name is Lauren Sayers and i'm from Toronto, Canada, where I grew up with two older brothers. I have always loved playing lots of different sports, but my favorite sport is definitely ice hockey, which I love to both play and watch. I graduated in 2016 from The University of Western Ontario with a degree in English Language and Literature and a minor in Creative Writing. Growing up, I had dreams of becoming an author. My passion for the English language is what eventually drew me to becoming a teacher, as I love seeing that same desire in others. Being able to help students grow and achieve their goals is such an exciting and rewarding part of teaching. My love of travel has brought me to 5 continents around the world, but it is Vietnam where I have fallen in love more than anywhere else. I taught English for 1.5 years in Ho Chi Minh City before recently moving to Da Nang, where I am enjoying the beautiful beaches and mountains surrounding the city. I began working at Fisher's SuperKids in October 2018, and although still quite new to the company, I am so exciting to be a part of such an amazing team! I chose Fisher's not only because of the school's top quality, but also because of the tremendous amount of work put into helping the community. My favorite part about being a teacher is getting to know the students on a more personal level. I love learning about Vietnamese culture and life through my students, and i'm so happy when I am able to share my experiences growing up in Canada with them. I'm so lucky for the opportunity to immerse myself in Vietnamese life, and I look forward to a rewarding experience working at Fisher's SuperKids!
